“A Guideline for Islamic Governance”

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has a blog!

So, naturally, having read his last post which was on 12/1/2007….hmmm…we felt compelled to respond with a minor reconfiguration of the text he quotes regarding “governance.” Click anywhere to read the original text of Imam Ali’s letter to Maalik al-Ashtar on Ahmadinejad’s blog. Our revision, sent today, as a comment to Ahmadinejad is copied here:

In the Name of Almighty God, the All Knowing, the Most Lovingly Compassionate

Mahmoud, may God be with you, let us review the text of Imam Ali’s letter to Maalik in a context that would be friendly to the world and express perhaps more clearly our God’s desire for peace…”Maalik! You must create in your mind kindness, compassion and love for (the world). Do not behave toward (it) as if you are a ravenous beast and as if your success lies in devouring (it).”

What do you think, Mahmoud?
