Sarah Palin in the Crosshairs of the Wee Weed Up
There it is, second row down, fourth from the right. Formerly known in cartography as the ‘benchmark’ symbol, it now stands for ‘you gonna get it’. Diagonally below the ‘you gonna get it’ symbol is the ‘you gonna get it sideways’ symbol. In the top row, second from the left is the symbol for ‘gonna drop a anchor on ya dummy’. In the fifth row, fifth from the right is the symbol for ‘you gonna get it with some hammers’. Two variations of the ‘you gonna get it with a bottle rocket’ are shown far right in the fifth row and far left in the sixth row respectively. Also in the sixth row, second from the left is the symbol for ‘turn around or you gonna get it’. Finally, the symbol for ‘see this guy got it already’ in the bottom row on the far left.
In addition to cartographic use, the ‘you gonna get it’ symbol may be found in frequent commercial applications, such as the ‘my car gonna getcha’ variation shown here.
