NoiseCollector- Ever Wonder About the ‘Counter’ Culture?
Remember the term “Counter Revolutionary?” Probably not, unless you were about to be executed for “Crimes Against the State.” Ever wonder why East Germany called itself the German Democratic Republic? Ever wonder why North Korea calls itself the Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea? Ever wonder why China calls itself the Peoples Republic of China? Ever wonder why North Vietnam calls itself the Democratic Republic of Vietnam? Ever wonder why Cuba calls itself the Republic of Cuba? Ever wonder what the stalwart citizens dwelling in those socialist paradises wonder about? Ever wonder why every movement using the words peoples and liberation, is ultimately dedicated to the exact opposite? To paraphrase Churchill, “Never have so many been deluded so strongly by such weakness, for so long.”
“In communist society, where nobody has one exclusive sphere of activity but each can become accomplished in any branch he wishes, society regulates the general production and thus makes it possible for me to do one thing today and another tomorrow, to hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle in the evening, criticize after dinner, just as I have a mind, without ever becoming hunter, fisherman, herdsman or critic” – Karl Marx, 1845.
Ummm, okay….according to Marx, instead of doing something, we will pretend we can do everything while getting nothing done.
“We must beware of trying to build a society in which nobody counts for anything except a politician or an official, a society where enterprise gains no reward and thrift no privileges.” –Churchill
[Russian jokes] depended on was the inherent absurdity of the official Soviet doctrine, rhetoric and propaganda – not just because it was absurd, but because it was official (in a way that no capitalist doctrine could be)…..
‘What is the difference between communism and capitalism?’ ‘Capitalism is the exploitation of man by man; communism is the exact opposite.’
‘Capitalism stands on the brink of the abyss. It will soon be overtaken by communism.’
‘Is it true that Marxism-Leninism is scientific?’ ‘No, surely not. If it were, they would have tested it on animals first.’
